Combustion and kiln specialist FCT Combustion announced that 2018 will be a record year for the company with projects running in every continent except Antarctica, covering a wide range of industries.
“Growing an awareness of our company and its capabilities is key to ensuring its continued growth,” said Con Manias, managing director of FCT International. “We have established more offices around the globe to get closer to our customers and deliver a better service than what the market has been used to.”
Manias added that the company anticipates its latest burner, the Turbu-Flex, will be launched this month. The Turbu-Flex will enable operators to switch between different solid fuels, including alternative fuels, and optimize for each with one burner. By having the flexibility to switch between fuels, cement and other industrial plants will be able to lower fuel costs and improve kiln performance. Maintenance will also be reduced due to the burner not needing moving parts to change air supply.
Recently completed or current active projects by FCT Combustion include a Gyro-Therm MKII precessing jet burner for Ash Grove Cement, Durkee, Ore.; Lafarge Canada, Exshaw, Alberta; and Lehigh Hanson, Fleetwood, Pa.
